Many of Shoson's early works were small kacho (bird and flower) prints for export. This print is one of the best collaborations between Shoson and Watanabe. Watanabe's perfectionism enhanced the embossed feathers on the exotic parrot, and the velvet-like background gave visual depth and richness to Shoson's design.
