Sprays of the magic wishing tree in hand, adorned with sweet-toned bells, her beauty enhanced by a splendid shawl, she, who ever pleasure gives, is declared to be Gauri. Gauri has set out at night through the jungle, where the birds are in pairs like lovers, to meet her beloved. The artist has adorned the vegetation with flowers as Gauri has decked herself with jewelry. Among the leaves are three curious gold arabesque forms, almost doodles, that appear to be unique to this work.
