Life and Legacy 2019:

This is the earliest photograph in the exhibition, taken when Eisenstaedt was still in Europe working for the Associated Press. He quickly became recognized for his talent as a photojournalist overseas, making it easier for him to transition his career to the United States when he immigrated in 1935.
