Vihagra or Vigada, a son of Sri raga, is a lovesick hero, bemoaning his condition in the company of female friends. One system of music and iconography for a ragamala says that the sound to which the music for this ragaputra is to be compared is that of a frog. This painting and Punyaki Ragini are from the earliest Bilaspur ragamala, outstanding for its intense colors and yellow borders. As is the case with the other schools of painting in the Panjab Hills, no antecedents to this school are at present recognized.
