The artist has thrown aside traditional tools of sculpture for the hammer and a sheet of metal. His choice of medium, hammered copper, and his concept of combining the separate categories of relief and sculpture in the round are unique. The nude expressed on a heroic scale and revitalized in contemporary terms is his conntribution ot twentieth century sculpture. The titles of his work evoke the grandeur of classical themes.
