Oda Kazuma worked with Watanabe Publisher from 1924 to 1950s and was very interested in Ukiyo-e prints, in particular recreating the lyrical charm of Ando Hiroshige's idealist Edo landscapes. Great Bridge at Matsue illustrates Kazuma's admiration for Hiroshige's snow scenes and composition.
