CW: This picture was featured in the Sep 9, 1946 issue of LIFE in the article, titled “Cleaning: It is the Worst Job”, which suggested more efficient ways to complete housework. Depicted here using Mili's “light drawing” photographic technique, is the “wrong” way to scrub dishes, using a back-and-forth motion. A second picture within the article proposes a more effective circular movement.
